the center of a truck for faster loading and

increased payloads.

CASE has also added a standard panel

of dipper teeth on the bottom surface of

the dipper, along with optional extension/

replacement aggressive hardened-steel

teeth that can expand the area of the dipper

covered. The dipper teeth enable the ma-

chine operator to secure unusually shaped or

oversized pieces of debris or rock by pinning

those objects against the dipper with the

bottom of the bucket. The dipper teeth not

only provide superior control of materials be-

ing moved, but they also protect the dipper

from excessive wear.

N Series backhoes also feature remote

hydraulic test ports that allow easy, ground-

level access for service diagnosis, helping

to keep the machine up and running and

reduce costly downtime.

Larson Cable Trailers

Larson Cable Trailers offers some of the

most reliable, versatile, and rugged cable

handling trailers on the market. Rick Larson

is a contractor who saw a need for a trailer

that would do more than just haul a reel. He

would sit by and watch as his plow train sat

idle while his crew figure 8’ed fiber by hand

and knew there had to be a solution to keep

the plow train rolling. That’s where the idea

for a cable handling trailer came from, and

over the last 10 years it has grown into a

line of trailers with attachments available to

help contractors increase production while

decreasing labor costs and downtime.

Larson’s Figure 8 attachment has been

around since day one and is invaluable when

it comes to figure 8’ing fiber optic cable.

What used to be a 5-6 worker operation

is now a 2-person operation. The Honda

engine does not seem to care what the

temperature is outside or how heavy the

cable is, it just keeps on running. Tested and

approved by most fiber optic manufactur-

ers, this attachment has very little chance of

damaging the cable.

In 2010, with the help of Condux Inter-

national, Larson added a small fiber blower

to its line of attachments. With no tracks or

electronics, this blower is maintenance free

and easy to use.

In 2015, Larson will introduce a

10,000-pound capacity trailer and a simple

reel trailer, with limited attachments, meant

for safe transporting of reels. The company is

constantly looking for new ways to help the

contractor improve production with simple

attachments to its trailer.

website at or contact your local Vermeer

dealer.
