The Vert-Alert system has a data-logger
that records the number of times the lanyard
attachment alarm was activated. The Vert-
Alert records the date and time of connect
and disconnects of the lanyard, as well as the
number of up and down motions. This infor-
mation will help identify operations outside
of standard operating procedures.
The Pelsue Vert-Alert is a simple and effec-
tive system to warn operators if they are not
attached to the anchorage, which will help
improve operator safety and OSHA compli-
ance. It is easily installed on new and existing
equipment by competent installers.

Ripley Tools has
introduced the
WS 76 Semi-
Con Removal Tool, part of its utility tool prod-
uct line. This tool is designed specifically to
accommodate semi-con diameters of 0.7 to
2.3 inches. The WS 76 spiral action also accu-
rately removes the bonded semi-con shield
within .98 inches in forward position and
within .27 inches in reverse position. Easy
blade replacement, an additional winding
pin, and no need for messy cable lubricant
make this tool ideal for utility professionals to
do their job more effectively and efficiently.
The WS 76 is made in the United States of
a strong, high-quality steel and aluminum
construction. Utility tools from Ripley are
designed and manufactured for installers
and contractors in the power, transmission,
and distribution industries and are a leading
brand for wire and cable preparation.
Ripley has been designing, manufactur-
ing, and assembling quality cable prepara-
tion tools for the professional installer since
1936. It is a leading worldwide manufacturer
of wire and cable preparation tools for the

The Terramac RT9 is the rubber track crawler
carrier designed with utility work in mind.
Whether you’re navigating through adverse
terrain or in need of specialty equipment
such as boom lifts or digger derricks to get
the job done, you will enjoy all the advanced
features of the RT9.
Navigating through uncharted ground
has never been easier with the RT9’s ground
pressure of just 5.1 psi fully loaded. The low
ground pressure takes you further while
minimizing ground damage and preventing
costly jobsite damage from occurring.
Equipped with front and rear bolt-on
connections, this multi-purpose carrier can
accommodate various types of specialized
equipment for the job at hand. You will
appreciate the ease of switching between
attachments such as boom lifts, digger der-
ricks, and various beds all in a day’s work. The
electrical power sources, frame adjustments,
and hydraulics can all be customized to suit
different attachments.
Manufactured in North America, the
CE-certified Terramac RT9 has an operating
weight of 26,000 pounds and a maximum
carrying capacity of 18,000 pounds. The RT9
does not require special oversize permitting
to transport the machine. Ideal for carrying
supplies and materials, the bed on the RT9
elevates to a 48-degree angle for dumping
gravel, sand, dirt, and other materials. The
bed can fold down, allowing the operator to
side-load materials or equipment for carriage
across rough terrain, delicate soil conditions,
and remote areas. The RT9 is equipped with
a 230-horsepower Cummins diesel engine.
Rollover protective structure (ROPS) and
falling object protective structure (FOPS) are
standard. Open- and closed-cab options are
available.

To increase drill-
ing performance
and decrease operational costs, Terex Texo-
ma Interchangeable Head (ICH) augers are
now available for the popular Terex General
and Commander series digger derricks. ICH
augers increase productivity and versatility
by enabling utility contractors to accommo-
date a variety of drilling configurations and
applications with a single auger body.
ICH augers eliminate the need for custom-
ers to have multiple augers in their equip-
ment fleet. By simply switching out the head
on the auger, customers can work in various
ground conditions throughout their opera-
tions area, as well as change hole diameters,
with minimal effort. With only one pin to
switch out, ICH augers can be taken on and
off auger bodies in two minutes or less. Mea-
suring approximately 12-inches long, several
interchangeable heads can easily be stored
in the truck bed. This allows customers to
always have the right auger for the job, when
and where it’s needed most.
Three types of Terex ICH augers are avail-
able: TX (TXD and TXC) Series for dirt or
cobble applications, BTA Series (standard and
spiral cut) for hard rock applications, and a
core barrel option for extreme applications.
ICH augers are designed with a 2 5/8-inch
diameter hex shaft to provide a robust con-
nection between the auger body and auger
head, giving them the ability to withstand
the full torque of the auger drive regardless
of the auger drive output. The design of
these augers also incorporates a new high-
strength drawn-over-mandrel stem.
ICH augers are available in three flight
options: medium duty, heavy duty, and extra
heavy duty. Replacement teeth and pilot bits
are also available.
