Greenlee Communications

Sherman + Reilly Telecom, recently inte-

grated with Greenlee Communications, has

released the all new Ultimaz P2P (point-to-

point) fiber drop cable installation system.

The Ultimaz P2P is designed to install fiber

drops from 50 to 1,200 feet long that can ac-

commodate cable diameters from 5.8mm to

10.5mm or either of the microducts and OSP

ducts measuring from 10/8mm to 1 1/4-inch

I.D. This hybrid unit installs most drops sim-

ply by its cordless drill driven pusher while

allowing for the injection of compressed air

for difficult drops.

Benefits to installers include safer installs

by eliminating injuries and fatigue from hand

pulling and higher production due to no pull

lines and direct installs from the cable reel.

The versatile system can install round or flat

cables, and the low tool cost makes it afford-

able.

Advantages of the Ultimaz P2P include

higher-production installations, ergonomi-

cally superior to hand pulling, protecting

fiber cable as enhanced by pushing, expo-

nentially superior when jetted or blown with

virtually no stress on the fiber cable, and user

friendly with fast and easy setup.
