gy, Sumitomo’s 576F DriTube Ribbon Cable is
a gel-free ribbon cable that exceeds standard
432 fibers. Rather than switch to gel-filled
after 432 fibers, installers can now streamline
the project with all dry cable and the Quan-
tum Mass fusion splicer. The cable features
patented Easy Split & Peel technology that
allows fast and easy fiber access by hand. If
you prefer 864F gel-filled, or whatever your
cable preference may be, Sumitomo has you
covered with a broad choice of optical fiber
types and cables.
The 36 Fiber Flat Drop Cable is PE-90 rated
and 600 pounds. It is designed for use as a
multi-purpose distribution or drop cable that
can be placed aerially, in conduit, directly
buried, or blown for providing last-mile opti-
cal service. With a greater amount of fibers
within a small diameter, it’s easy and fast to
install.
The new Quantum Type-Q101-CA-PLUS is
Sumitomo’s next generation Quantum core
alignment fusion splicer. It features new stan-
dard levels in speed with heater shrink time
of only 14 seconds. The unit increases splic-
ing efficiency by more than 80 percent and
has Wi-Fi capabilities for splice data transfer
and other interactive features via mobile
apps. This core alignment splicer boasts pat-
ented dual independent heat shrink ovens,
SD port for virtually unlimited storage, and
internet interface for 24-7 remote mainte-
nance, plus much more!

Digital Control Incorporated is a pioneer
in the underground construction industry.
Since 1991, DCI has been delivering new
products that have revolutionized the instal-
lation of underground utilities around the
world. Innovations such as roll/pitch data
and “look ahead locating”with ball-in-the-
box interaction have made underground
construction more profitable and safe.
The DigiTrak Aurora display represents
another industry first, a platform for task-
specific applications that add value to the
jobsite. Aurora represents the latest in color
touch screen technology and allows for rapid
navigation between applications. Aurora is a
connected device that enables the collec-
tion, integration, and sharing of jobsite data.
Aurora is the future
HDD locating.
The company’s flag-
ship locating system,
the F5, incorporates
DCI’s patented 3D
antenna technology
along with a graphi-
cal icon driven menu
system that increases
productivity in the
field. Interacting
with the F5 is easy
given a four-way
toggle switch. The F5
system includes five
unique transmitter
frequency options to
address the various
types of interference
encountered on HDD
jobsites. DigiTrak Dual
Frequencies Trans-
mitters can switch
frequencies on the fly
while underground in
mere seconds, allow-
ing users to rapidly respond to changing drill
site interferences.
This system also allows contractors to
log their pilot bores and easily upload the
data log into DCI’s LWD software to create
a detailed as-built. The F5 captures pitch,
depth, annular fluid pressure, transmitter
temperature, and real-time tension being
applied to your product pipe during pull-
back. The F5 with LWD software meets the
growing jobsite documentation requirement
in the underground construction industry
while simultaneously compiling a historical
reference bank for future projects where safe,
efficient navigation is key.
All DCI products are back by a top custom-
er relations group. DCI invites you to contact
the company and find out for yourself.
