Portable and powerful, Grundowinch is well-

suited for underground utility construction

applications including underground cable

pulling, pipe bursting, sliplining, pipe pulling,

and swage lining.

The constant-tension design feature

means any cable slack is immediately

sensed and quickly taken up automatically.

This makes for an ideal winch for sensitive

operations. Control is easy with a number of

convenience and operational features such

as single-lever tension control (no gears to

engage), power assisted winch line feed,

and winch controls located at the rear of the

unit to provide a safe view of the job while

operating.

TT Technologies offers nine models of

Grundowinch constant tensions winches

ranging pulling capacities from 1.5 tons to

20 tons. A 3-ton hydrostatic Grundowinch

is ideal for pulling CCTV and cable through

innerduct. The Grundowinch can pull up to

3,280 feet of 3/8-inch cable at pulling speeds

of up to 160 feet per minute. In addition to

a 3-ton pulling capacity, the winch offers

infinite speed control throughout the pull-

ing range. The 3-ton winch is compact and

highly portable for pulling in easements and

backyards.

The compact Grundodrill 4X is ideal for

the installation of conduit for power and

last-mile applications. The Grundodrill 4x

offers 9,800 pounds of thrust and pullback.

Using the compact drill is less intrusive and

ideal for areas where larger units are not an

option. The drill features a dual hydrostatic

pump system and a four-auger stake down

system that provides greater stability.

Wagner-Smith Equipment Company

Wagner-Smith Equipment Company recently

held a groundbreaking ceremony for its new

facility in Burleson, Tex., that will house of-

fices, inventory, and a shop for the company

that manufactures, repairs, rents, and sells

transmission and distribution equipment,

tools, and supplies across the country.

Construction on the 58,000-square-foot

facility is set to begin this fall on a 19-acre lot

in Burleson’s new HighPoint Business Park.

The building will be nearly double the size of

the company’s current location.

“Wagner-Smith Equipment’s success in

Burleson has resulted in us outgrowing our

space,” President James Pace said. “We look
