mitment to proactive safety management.
And finally it protects carriers from DOT
intervention and litigation.
Blue Diamond Industries
Blue Diamond has developed a new “bore-
able” HDPE continuous conduit with three
innerducts pre-installed inside—the 3N1
Boreable Conduit, patent pending.
The innerducts are installed at the com-
pany’s manufacturing facility during the
extrusion process. It is a similar process to
CIC (cable in conduit) where power or com-
munication cables are typically installed.
Blue Diamond 3N1 saves time and money
by allowing contractors to bore a complete
package. Innerducts do not have to be
pulled through after the bore, allowing crews
to blow fiber or pull power lines as soon as
the bore is complete. With Blue Diamond’s
3N1 there are no issues with getting innerd-
ucts stuck during installation in the field.
The 3N1 is available in a 4-inch SIDR 11.5
casing with three 1-inch SDR 13.5 innerducts
installed. Lengths of 500 feet are standard,
and custom options are available.
Blue Diamond Industries is a premier
manufacturer of high density polyethylene
(HDPE) pipe, headquartered in Lexington,
Ky. Blue Diamond is UL and RUS listed and
manufactures HDPE for communication,
power, wind and solar energy, highway and
street lighting, fiber to the home, intelligent
transportation systems, CATV, geothermal,
and industrial pressure pipe applications.
