• Identify what is necessary to develop a complete
end-to-end project delivery plan,
• Organize and structure the project plan information
for communicating with the project team, and
• Effectively document the project plan.
Andy Patron is a senior consultant with FMI,
specializing in the creation and implementation of
training programs that are designed to develop world-
class leadership and organizational effectiveness.
Andy’s enthusiastic approach
draws from his real-world
experience in management
and the construction industry.
He has more than 20 years of
experience working with private
and public sector owners and
contractors. As a production
manager in the residential
market, he has been responsible
for the day-to-day allocation of
resources and learned to tackle
the unique operational challenges
associated with production in the
construction industry.
The YCP session also features a
short presentation and Q&A with
PCCA Past President and 40-plus-
year construction industry veteran
Ron Tagliapietra. Tag’s rise from
a young laborer to Senior Vice
President of Michels Corporation
is a classic American success
story, and from him attendees can learn a lot about hard
work, leadership, and giving back to the industry.
President’s Welcome Reception
5:30 - 7 pm
Kevin & Debbie Mason invite all PCCA attendees to the
Town Hall patio and lawn overlooking the picturesque
Marina for a delightful evening with delicious
dining, everyone’s favorite beverages, unbeatable
entertainment, and the best part of any PCCA event—
all your old friends and a bunch of new acquaintances.
Opening Session with Dave Barry
7 - 8 pm
Dave Barry is a humor columnist and best-selling
author. For 25 years he was a syndicated columnist
whose work appeared in more than 500 newspapers
worldwide. In 1988 he won the Pulitzer Prize for
Commentary. Many people are still trying to figure
out how this happened. Barry has written a total of
30 books, although virtually
none of them contain useful
information. Two of his books
were used as the basis for the
CBS TV sitcom Dave’s World,
in which Harry Anderson
played a much taller version of
Barry. Barry plays lead guitar
in a literary rock band called
the Rock Bottom Remainders,
whose other members include
Stephen King, Amy Tan, Ridley
Pearson, and Mitch Albom. They are not musically
skilled, but they are extremely loud. Barry has also
made many TV appearances, including one on David
Letterman where he proved that it is possible to set fire
to a pair of men’s underpants with a Barbie doll.
In his spare time, Barry is a candidate for President
of the United States. If elected, his highest priority will
be to seek the death penalty for whoever is responsible
for making Americans install low-flow toilets.
Barry lives in Miami, Fla., with his wife, Michelle,
a sportswriter. He has a son, Rob, and a daughter,
Sophie, neither of whom thinks he’s funny.
Barry brings his hilarious sense of humor to the
PCCA stage and offers up his wacky point of view on
relationships, work, kids, technology, and life in general.
