“As Utility Fleet continues to grow its customer base
internationally and is consistently supplying equipment to all
50 U.S. states and 25 countries globally, it became apparent
a move to the Dallas Fort Worth area was vital to maintain
the growth trajectory of our company,” Utility Fleet President
George McMahon said. “Having access to a major interna-
tional airport such as DFW within 15 minutes of our new
headquarters is key to helping our customers and sales team
manage their time and travel more efficiently.”
Utility Fleet will continue operations in Bryan, Tex. The
focus will be on the remanufacturing of late model year,
off-lease utility equipment. Utility Fleet now operates three
facilities in Texas with 55 bays, two full body shops and paint
booths, multiple overhead cranes, and onsite classroom and
skills training center, encompassing more than 85,000 square
feet of operations.
Greenlee’s new JRF-4
Boasts Infinite Adjustability
G
reenlee continues to drive efficiency with its new
JRF-4 Universal Stripping Tool designed for use
with all 600V secondary cable jackets ranging from
1/2-inch to 3-inches in diameter, primary cable jackets, and
insulations.
The JRF-4 Universal Cable Stripper comes in two configu-
rations, each with its own precision-like adjustable cutting
blades. The JRF-4 EPR has been designed to not only address
the primary cable jacket, but also effectively removes ethyl-
ene propylene rubber (EPR) coverings. The JRF-4 XLP also
addresses the primary cable jacket and can remove cross-
linked polyethylene (XLP) insulations.
The JRF-4 Universal Stripping Tool has a clamping force of
up to 150 pounds that allows the user to securely capture the
cable for a precise blade setting. The Delrin ball bearing roll-
ers reduce the amount of force needed for the tool to move
around and up the cable during stripping, while the rollerball
actuation allows the user to maintain constant contact with
the clamp as it moves around the cable.
“The JRF-4 Universal Stripping Tool provides a safe alterna-
tive to using blades on the jobsite,” said Ryan Berg, Greenlee
product manager for termination tools. “This will help elimi-
nate the number of lacerations, which are a leading cause of
recordable injuries on the jobsite.”
