Everything about the new JT9 is designed to ensure the
most efficient utility installation possible. During operation,
the drill operator is positioned near the center of the pipe
rack, which simplifies pipe handling. The carriage quickly
travels the length of the drill frame, resulting in faster cycle
times and more pipe in the ground. And the JT9 holds 300
feet of drill pipe on board, so larger jobs can be finished
faster.
The JT9 has a comfortable operator’s station designed to
reduce operator stress and improve productivity. The opera-
tor’s station features an advanced display that provides all
engine diagnostics and an ergonomic seat that slides fore and
aft so drill-pipe handling requires less operator reach.
Before and after operation, maintenance is simple and effi-
cient, too. The JT9 has no grease zerks, and all daily mainte-
nance points are in one easily accessible location.
