McLaughlin Further
Expands Sales Force
M
cLaughlin Boring Systems is
expanding its sales force by
adding an additional sales
territory in the Midwest. Industry veteran
Cody Mecham has been hired as regional
sales manager responsible for meeting the
needs of customers in Colorado, Indiana,
Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, Wisconsin, and the Greater
Chicago area.
McLaughlin is a leading manufacturer of trenchless
construction equipment including auger boring machines,
Vermeer-branded vacuum excavators and pneumatic pierc-
ing tools, as well as locators, directional drills, and various
attachments. Mecham’s role will be to support McLaughlin’s
full product line to dealers and customers.
“Cody brings solid skills and industry experience to
McLaughlin, as well as established relationships he has
cultivated throughout his career,” said McLaughlin Vice
President Jeff Wage. “Cody’s prior experience with Vermeer
and his proximity to its Pella, Iowa, factory lends us the op-
portunity to engage with customers and dealers and provide
the support of our products that our customers expect from
McLaughlin.”
Mecham began his career in the automotive field, but
quickly transitioned into the construction equipment indus-
try. He joined Vermeer in 2007 as a training specialist and
trade show manager. From there, he moved into a product
support role working with HDD tooling, and then became
a regional sales manager where he was responsible for the
business relationship with key Vermeer dealerships. In 2012,
he received his Masters of Business Administration from
Salem International University.
