CZM Foundation Equipment
The EK250SM Short Mast from CZM Founda-
tion Equipment is designed and engineered
in the USA for high performance and
versatility. Mounted on a CAT 336 HP (Tier IV)
excavator base, it delivers maximum torque
of 234,500
lbf.ft,a drilling depth of 60 feet,
and 156 inches of drilling diameter. With
a working height of just 30 feet, this is the
ideal high-power machine for low clearance/
restricted height drilling projects.
In keeping with CZM’s customer-focused
philosophy, the EK250SM is supported by the
extensive Caterpillar service network.
The EK250SM is designed to for use in a
wide range of foundation drilling applica-
tions, including bridge foundations, trans-
mission lines, high-rise commercial buildings,
elevated highways, and more. This model
and others in the CZM product line are used
in projects nationwide by McKinney Drilling
Company and Longfellow Drilling service,
among others.
The robust design of the EK250SM rotary is
a result of the large inner passage diameter,
which allows this model to deliver higher
drilling torque, the use of stronger Kelly bars,
and longer lifetime of main components.
The big inner passage is a main feature of
CZM’s unique, patented “Bottom Drive CFA”
mechanism and allows the rig the versatility
of fast, easy, and economic conversion for
different applications, including drilled shafts,
CFA, and displacement pile.
The combination of hydraulic extended
crawlers, centralized parallelogram, and
a mast made of lightweight/high-yield
strength “weldox” steel affords the EK250SM
the safest stability.
CZM products are recognized for their
high quality, superior after-sales service, and
innovative design incorporating the CAT
base and first-line components of American
vendors. Our customer-oriented philosophy
relies on qualified professionals providing
services including corrective and preventa-
tive maintenance, commission, parts, tools
and accessories, sales, and more.
