career in banking. He first served as office manager for the
Scott Equipment branch in Shreveport, La., then found his
true calling when he took on an equipment sales territory
there. Following a decade as a successful sales representative,
he was promoted to the branch manager position in Little
Rock, Ark., where he served in that capacity for three years.
Scott Powerline’s organization as a separate company
brought new opportunities for Covington. Company founder
Tom Scott, Jr., wanted to recruit the best
sales talent for his new venture, and he
knew just where to start: Brian Coving-
ton. He joined the venture in May 2000
and soon found success in marketing
several of the company’s early lines of
equipment. Following an unfortunate but
successful battle with cancer, Coving-
ton came back strong and developed
new relationships with many accounts
throughout the country and in differ-
ent industries. He helped introduce new
products, tirelessly promoted the product
support team, and negotiated several
long-term field service arrangements for
several different customer projects.
Everyone at Scott and at PCCA con-
gratulates Brian on his brilliant career.
We wish him an enjoyable and well-de-
served retirement as well as many years
of good health and happiness with his
wife, Teresa.
