Vac-Tron Equipment
Introduces LP 533/833 XDT
V
ac-Tron
Equip-
ment, an
innovation leader in
industrial vacuums,
potholing, daylight-
ing, hydro excava-
tion, air excavation,
and environmental clean-up equipment, has introduced the
new LP 533/833 XDT. Powered by a 24-horsepower Kohler
diesel engine, the XDT is a unit with similar performance
specs as the pre-Tier 4 final DT model. It is Tier 4 compliant
and competitively priced in the market.
This machine features the new Series 33 Safety Rear Door.
The hydraulic screw rear door offers a high torque motor
with a self-adjusting threaded shaft designed for low mainte-
nance and easy operation. It opens to a full 90-degree angle
and is equipped with a safety lock that engages automati-
cally.
The XDT features CVS Filtration Housing. The LP ground
level filtration housing also incorporates a 28-inch-diameter
cyclone, four-way valve for reverse pressure, and a large
silencer for quiet performance. Patent pending.
The XDT has an Optional Strong Arm to help support the
weight of the vacuum hose. It has 6-inch Debris Discharge
Valve for quickly off-loading liquid materials by gravity or
under pressure to another container. The easy-access engine
compartment aids service and regular maintenance of all
components.
Cat Introduces E2 Series
Mini Hydraulic Excavators
C
aterpillar has announced that the five compact radius
Cat E2 Series Mini Hydraulic Excavators (303.5E2,
304E2, 305E2, 305.5E2, and 308E2) will all be
produced at the company’s new 850,000-square-foot facility
in Athens, Ga., and will also use the new High Definition
Hydraulic system.
The E2 models are designed to carry on the solid per-
formance of their E Series predecessor, while adding even
greater value. For example, the new High Definition Hydrau-
lic System provides a load-sensing and flow-sharing capabili-
ty leading to operational precision, efficient performance, and
greater controllability. The simple valve architecture reduces
heat, which leads to a reduction in hydraulic instability and
improved overall efficiency.
The 305.5E2, 305E2, 304E2 and 303.5E2 all include a rede-
signed operator station, with a wider opening, a high-quality
suspension seat, easy-to-adjust arm rests, and an overall im-
proved ergonomic layout for operator comfort and productiv-
ity.
All the E2 series models are equipped with the digital
control panel specially designed for Cat Mini Excavators,
COMPASS—Complete Operation, Maintenance, Performance,
and Security System. Built into the COMPASS monitor are an
anti-theft system, an automatic engine-idle selection, and an
adjustable auxiliary-flow control for work tools. Both main-
line and optional secondary auxiliary-hydraulic systems can
be adjusted on a scale of 1-15 through the monitor for added
control.
The E2 Series models continue to include the standard
features and benefits customers expect. For example, auto-
matic two-speed, 100 percent pilot controls, superior bucket
rotation, blade float, and safety are built into every Cat mini
excavator.
FS3 Is “Going to the Dogs”
F
S3 Inc. will be hosting its third annual “Going to the
Dogs” charity golf event on June 24 in Annandale,
Minn. Thanks to the great support and participation
of many PCCA members, associates, and even a few competi-
tors, FS3 has raised money for the Animal Humane Societies
and shelters.
The “Going to the Dogs” event is tons of fun and gets bet-
