full 360 degrees with its tracks retracted to an overall
width of only 12.5 feet.
The new Tadano Mantis can pull through deep mud
without bogging down and telescope or lift the boom
with a full load on the hook. It also saves time and
money on the job with its low clearance height, retract-
on-the-fly tracks, and telescopic boom. The unit’s
independent hydrostatic track drives allow pivot turns
and counter rotation.
New Rope Connectors
Make Connections
Fast And Secure
G
eneral Machine Products
recently introduced a new
line of rope connectors to its
extensive line of aerial and
underground tools and equipment.
Rope connectors make the attach-
ment of rope to rope or rope to swiv-
els easier. All three of GMP’s rope
connectors are made from durable
stainless steel and offer a safety fac-
tor per load of 3:1 (horizontal pully
only).
The Rope-to-Rope Connector can
be used to join any two ropes with
diameters of .875 inches or less.
They are designed to handle up to a
15,000 pounds maximum load.
The Rope-to-Swivel Connectors
allow for rope and swivels to be at-
tached to one another. The .5-inch
connector can handle a maximum
load of 7,000 pounds, while the .66-
inch connector can handle a maxi-
mum load of 15,000 pounds.
“Our Rope-to-Swivel Connectors
are a great item because they do the
job of two products in one,” GMP
Director of Sales Ted Clemens said.
“By allowing rope to directly connect
to swivels, we save on the amount
of products contractors need to use.”
