2010 Mid-Year Meeting

The Lodge at Torrey Pines • La Jolla, California • July 7 - 10

P

CCA’s 2010 Mid-Year Meeting at the Lodge at

Torrey Pines is sure to attract a lot of atten-

tion. For golfers, “Torrey Pines” is a head-

turner. You don’t even need to add “Home of

the 2008 U.S. Open” or “annual stop on the

PGA Tour.” They know. For frequent travel-

ers, La Jolla is a dream destination: perfect weather,

beautiful bluffs and beaches, countless recreation

options, and unbeatable culture, shopping, and restau-

rants. For people working in power and communica-

tion construction, the PCCA Mid-Year Meeting is the

perfect place to develop professional skills, cultivate

important relationships, and learn more about the

industry. And when the business is done, they’ll enjoy

some memorable parties, lots of great folks, and the

beautiful La Jolla area.

This year’s Mid-Year features a Young Construction

Professionals program on decision-making skills, the

always-informative Construction Industry Roundtable,

a session on Business Ethics, the PCCA Golf Tourna-

ment on the famous Torrey Pines course, Ironman

Champion Mark Allen on how to overcome obstacles

on the road to success, and tours that include surfing,

shopping, sailing, Segways, and more!

Perched upon the dramatic Southern California coast-

line with a stunning backdrop of rugged cliffs, the roll-

ing Pacific, and soul-stirring sunsets, the Lodge at Torrey

Pines is located in the sophisticated resort town of La

Jolla. The hotel is immediately adjacent to the 18

th

green

of the famed Torrey Pines Golf Course, and the Torrey

Pines State Reserve, a beloved California State Park with

beaches, golden cliffs, and forests of Torrey Pine (the

rarest native pine in the U.S.), is but a short walk away.

The lodge is a 20-minute drive from downtown San

Diego and the San Diego International Airport.

Arriving guests are greeted at the Lodge’s grand

porte-cochère by doormen attired in kilted Scottish

Dress. Inside are 170 guest rooms including eight

suites, a 9,500 square-foot full-service spa, and expan-

sive public rooms with fireplaces, large mantelpieces,

overstuffed couches, comfortable leather chairs, and

amazing views of the golf course and the Pacific Ocean

beyond. Behind the Lodge is a heated pool with relax-

ing poolside cabanas, whirlpool, croquet lawn, and

a large terrace with chaise lounges for basking in the

SoCal sun.
