Condux Introduces
Updated Y-Block Design
C
ondux International recently unveiled a newly de-
signed Y-Block. The Y-Block is designed for install-
ing a micro duct or fiber optic cable into an existing
occupied duct. The Y-Block is easily coupled with a Condux
fiber optic blower to facilitate installation. The new Y-Block’s
machined aluminum construction weighs approximately 50
percent less than previous models and provides long life and
durability.
The Condux Y-Block can accommodate duct sizes ranging
from 1.315 inches to 2.375 inches OD with cable seals rang-
ing from 0.35 to 0.90 inches OD.
New Solar Structures Unveiled
D
PW Solar (a wholly owned subsidiary of PCCA
member Preformed Line Products) and Baja Con-
struction recently introduced the new SR Series
solar ready shade structures engineered and optimized to
site-specific applications. The rugged yet sleek structures fea-
ture a simplified design and integrated PV module mounting
system resulting in faster assembly rates and labor savings on
every project.
Available in a variety of structural types and finishes, these
solar support structures feature tilt angles up to 10 degrees
and optional solutions for water and snow protection. The
Creative Reel Handling from FS3
C
ontractors look to FS3 to create trailers that meet
their needs. THE ROTATOR from FS3 is one of the
most creative reel handling trailer to come along in
years. Powered by a Honda engine, the self-contained hydrau-
lics allow one person to load the reels. The weight capacity
per reel is up to 5,000 pounds so crews can use this trailer
for power cable, communication cable, and of course HDPE
conduit. Reels sizes can be as small as 48 inches and all
the way up to 120 inches for large duct reels. The hydraulic
reel turrets can rotate up to 120 degrees to allow for product
payout in a crowded environment and in multiple directions.
The Double Self-Loading Standard-Duty Reel Trailer features
a double 102-inch rigid frame. Battery-powered hydraulics
are contained in lockable metal enclosure. The trailer has
a 10,000-pound capacity, 14,000-pound GVWR, and dual
7,000-pound axles with suspension.
