for the engineering and construction industry has been
slow. However, the potential for a sustained recovery led

This article is a synopsis of the program presented at the 2013
PCCA Convention and is designed to help leaders reclaim
and improve the basic human skill of communication.
Communication is not about technology, but about
humanology—our ability to connect at a deeper level, be
understood, and to understand.
The Power & Communication Contractors Association
recently held its 68th annual convention in Naples, Fla.,
where PCCA members and their families soaked up industry
education and training, handled association business, and
enjoyed the company of friends and colleagues from all
around the country.
