don’t!). At the Annual Prayer Breakfast, Don Piper

talked about real belief as he recounted his remarkable

story of near death (he was actually pronounced dead

by four sets of paramedics) and his amazing recovery.

The many serious subjects at PCCA meetings are

usually offset by some memorable parties, and this

year was exceptional in that regard with an enjoyable

marina-side Welcome Reception, the always-wild PCCA

Auction (which raised more than $110,000 for PCCA

programs), and a hilariously unique final night party at

Hollywood Studios.

During the final party, PCCA thanked outgoing asso-

ciation President Ron Tagliapietra, Michels Corporation,

for his years of service and for hosting such a fantastic

convention, and it welcomed new President Kevin Ma-

son of ElectriCom. PCCA also added three new mem-

bers to its Board of Directors during the convention: Ed

Campbell of Henkels & McCoy, Pomona, Calif.; Mat-

thew Gabrielse, Gabe’s Construction Co., Inc., Sheboy-

gan, Wis.; and Jerrod Henschel, Michels Corporation,

Brownsville, Wis.

Left, billed as an“extraordinist,”Craig Karges

dazzled the crown with an array of tricks that

backed up the claim—extraordinary, indeed.

Right, Austin Shanfelter seems hungry, but

Janet Duff doesn’t seem to care.

Below left, the tacky tourists are delighted to

meet new PCCA President-Elect Larry Libla.
