Title: Choosing The Right Type Of Ad

Yesterday we took a look at the different types
of ads you can choose on Twitter.

Today we are going to talk about how to know which
one you should use for your specific purposes.

In many cases, it will be pretty obvious which type of
ad you should use. For example, if you just want to
get more followers on Twitter, you’d choose the followers
ad type. Simple enough.

Other times, it may not be so clear. So we’re going to
take a look at that today.

Website Visits

Obviously the website visits ad type will help you get
visits to your website, but this isn’t always the best
choice.

If you have a website that isn’t really looking for
any type of measurable result, this is the option for you.

This is great for blogs, entertainment websites, news
websites, and other such sites that don’t really sell
anything or need to worry much about conversions.

Website Conversions

If you’re selling something, you want to choose the
website conversions ad type. If you want to get opt-ins
to your newsletter, you’ll want to choose the website
conversions ad type.

Any time you have a website that needs specific results,
this is the one to choose.

Followers

Self-explanatory. Run this ad for followers. Easy enough.

Awareness

Awareness ads charge for impressions. They aren’t really
recommended for general purposes. This type of ad is
more for large brands who just want to keep their name
in front of people.

Tweet Engagements

These ads boost engagement on a particular tweet.
Some people may not see the value in this, but it can
actually be valuable in some instances.

For example, if you want a particular Tweet to look like
it got better results than it did, or if you are just
starting to get good engagement and your results slow
down, or if you just want to impress people with how
many engagements you have, run this type of ad.

Video Views

If you’re hoping to get more people to like and
re-Tweet a video or GIF, choose this option. It will
get you more videos, and probably more shares, as well.

App Installs or Re-Engagements

Obviously you’ll want to choose this option only if you
have an app to promote. Pretty self-explanatory.

That’s all for today. Tomorrow we will look at the basics
of setting up an ad. Tune in!

Until then,
