Title: Finding the Pulse of your Market

Hi there,

So over the last couple of days we've talked about
the importance of segmenting your mailing lists.

I also mentioned how to do this just by creating
a series of squeeze pages, each one carrying a very
specific theme.

So now you're probably wondering how you can really
know what people will respond to, right?

Well, if you're anything like me, niche research isn't
exactly your favourite thing to do on a Saturday afternoon.

In fact, if I didn't have to do any research at all I'd
be a happy camper. After all, it takes time - so much
time... right?

The truth is, it doesn't have to be time-consuming, or even
difficult.

In fact, I do most of my niche research using only one
platform: Facebook.

Facebook groups are an absolute goldmine of information.

They'll give you instant access to popular niche markets
with die-hard fans.

These are people who will gladly subscribe to your mailing
list in exchange for free information pertaining to the topics
they're most interested in.

Begin by visiting Facebook and clicking on "Groups".

Enter a seed keyword. Just begin with a couple of words that
describe a potential market you're personally interested in.

Look for groups that contain 500+ members. Also pay attention
to how many recent posts have been published to the group.

Join the group!

Read through open and ongoing discussions (especially those
where there's a high level of activity and comments).

You'll not only find dozens of profitable niche markets
where there's an existing customer base of raving fans, but
you'll likely come up with tons of ideas that you can use
when either creating your own products or looking for products
to promote.

Give it a try!

Tomorrow, I'll talk to you about the tools I use to build
my list. You may already have a couple of these but chances are,
you'll find a nugget or two on the list.

Till then,
