Title: Influencer Sponsorships

Hi again!

When it comes to making money as an influencer,
there are several different types of sponsorships
that you may be approached to take part in.

One of the most common types of sponsorships is direct
selling, or share-selling. This is when a company wants
to use your voice and your brand to influence your audience
to give their business a chance, such as to try out a free
product or take advantage of a trial offer.

Usually, your customers won’t be familiar with the brand
so you will be responsible for making the initial introduction.

One of the ways this is often set up is where the company
provides you with a discount code or coupon that you can give
to your audience in order to save them money. Or, perhaps they
offer your followers with a different benefit, such as free
shipping or additional access to auxiliary components that
add value to a front-end product or service.

Other deals often offered would include “Buy one, get one free”,
or special items that are added to physically shipped products,
such as a free lipgloss when one of your followers buys another
cosmetic product.

I’ve even seen companies set up giveaways that influencers
host on their own website or blog for a period of time until
a winner is chosen. This is an easy way to introduce a new
brand to your audience while boosting engagement.

Another type of sponsorship is referred to as a ‘take over’
and it’s exactly as it sounds. A brand who hires you for a
takeover would temporarily use your resources (mailing list,
YouTube channel, or blog for example), to introduce their
products or get to know your audience.

Participating in a takeover means giving up some control,
even though it’s temporary. You’ll be required to provide
access to your social media accounts, or your website. A
takeover can last only a few hours, or days, depending on a
company’s objective.

A takeover can benefit you just as much as it does your client.
By allowing someone to offer your audience with new content,
or to run a giveaway on your website, you’re able to boost
engagement and raise the level of interaction within your own
community.

you stay on track. Don’t miss it!
