Title: Leave These Items at Home on Your Next Trip

Hi again!

Packing for your next trip shouldn’t mean multiple suitcases, a
backpack and a carry on bag. You should travel light whenever possible
and avoid bringing unnecessary times with you to save space and the worry
of losing them abroad.

Voltage Converter
Traveling across the pond from the States means you will probably
have heard that you need a converter. However, technology has changed
a lot since those were first invented and what you’ll need today is an
adapter.

Spending just $10 can get you the tech you need to be able to change
your American prong-style phone, tablet or laptop without trouble.

More expensive versions can help you travel throughout different
countries without worry that you’ll be left with dead devices.

Liquid Items
Whenever possible, choose powder based options over liquid. This
includes things like deodorant and laundry detergent. Powder is a
lot lighter and will help you reduce weight. It'll also avoid
spillage.

Full Sized Pillows
Not only do they take up a ton of space in your suitcase but
they're not necessary as airlines will provide travel pillows
for longer flights if requested. You can also purchase an
inflatable pillow that can be easily deflated when you land.

Hair Dryers, Hot Irons and Curling Irons
Hotels will provide hair dryers and unless you are planning
a photo shoot while away, hot irons and curling rods aren't
a travel necessity. The idea is to keep your packing light
so you can avoid over weight fees but also be able to navigate
easier without the heavy baggage.

Multiple Shoes
The truth is, you really only need a comfortable pair of walking
shoes and perhaps a formal pair of dress shoes for those special
evenings at upscale restaurants or events. Otherwise, take those
shoes out of your suitcase! You won't need all those extra pairs.

Over Sized Souvenirs
Be mindful when you purchase souvenirs or gifts. You want to
avoid oversized items that will fill up your suitcase or increase
the weight. Nothing complicates return travel than having to
cram your suitcase with bulky items.

In tomorrow's email, we'll talk about the travel essentials you
shouldn't overlook.

Until tomorrow,
