Title: Using Hashtags to Recruit New Affiliates

Hi again,

When it comes to using social media to attract
affiliates, there are a few ways to go about it
but the best way is by using hashtags.

Here’s how to do it:

Using hashtags to find new potential joint
venture partners and influencers is such a
simple, yet effective way to find new affiliates.

You can do this on all of the top social
media sites, including: Facebook, Instagram,
Twitter and even Pinterest.

Here’s how to do it:

Head over to Twitter, Pinterest or Instagram
and search for a relevant keyword relating to
your niche market. For example, #makeup or
#selfpublishing.

Weed out the posts that are clearly spam and
look for people who are creating content for
your audience.

Using my examples above with hashtags #makeup,
or #selfpublishing (two completely different markets),
I would begin by looking for people who are
creating makeup tutorials, video-based content or
digital products for their audience.

They aren’t necessarily selling their own
products, but are creating tools and resources
to help their audience accomplish a goal or
learn a new skill.

This is the type of person that you want to
reach out to on social media because they have
a captivating audience, they’re committed to
your niche and have the outreach needed to help
drive in traffic and sales.

You can reach out to these people in a few
different ways now, but the best way is to
simply send them a direct message (DM) on
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or Pinterest.

Make sure you also check out their profile,
visit any websites linked to their account or
add them as a contact on your other social
media profiles.

The better you understand what they are
offering and how they’ve connected with
their audience, the easier it will be to
approach them in a way that clearly outlines
what you have in common and how networking
would benefit the both of you.

With twitter, you don’t have to search for
actual hashtags. In this case, you can just
search for keyword phrases that are relevant
to your market (or product), paying attention
to the timeframe so you’re focusing only on
recent posts and updates.

With Twitter’s Advanced search option, you
can really narrow down your search so you’re
able to connect with a highly-targeted audience.

You’ll find that here:

The key is to locate people who have recently
Tweeted about your chosen keywords so that the
information is fresh. You can do this easily
by selecting a time frame under Dates. I would
recommend the last 2-3 weeks, at most.

That’s it for today. In tomorrow’s email,
I’ll talk to you about how you can increase
your chances of being able to recruit those
top affiliates in your market.

Until tomorrow,
