service drops. Thanks to its compact size and rugged exterior,
the COYOTE DTC can be used most anywhere: direct buried,
below grade, on a pole or wall, or in aerial applications. At
just 1.7-inches thick, the COYOTE DTC fits in tight spaces
without sacrificing functionality. Snap-together assembly al-
lows quick installation and easy re-entry.
Features include compact size (9.1 x 7.6 x 1.7 inches),
flexible grommet sealing system that accepts flat and round
cable profiles, four corner entrance points for configuration
flexibility, and capacity of 16 single-fusion or multiple-ribbon
splices. Unit also has support for Butt, In-Line, and Express
low-count applications; is ideal for new fiber installations
or updating existing FTTP and CATV; is easy to install, as-
semble, and re-enter; is competitively priced; and can even
be reused.
A-D Technologies
A
-D Technologies has introduced its newest
MicroTechnology products, a 24-MicroDuct,
19-MicroDuct, and 12-MicroDuct FuturePath.
As network infrastructure demands continue to
grow, it becomes more important to better utilize the avail-
able space in the infrastructure. The three versions are avail-
able in HDPE as well as a Riser Rated version for indoor use.
A Low-Smoke-Zero Halogen (LSZH) version will be available
soon. Standard MicroDuct sizes for these configurations are
5/3.5mm and 8.5/6mm, but other sizes and configurations
are available.
A-D Technologies has expanded the popular FuturePath
products to include an 18mm MicroDuct in both the 4-way
and 7-way configurations. The 18mm accommodates the larg-
est MicroCables where higher fiber counts are needed. The
18mm FuturePath products are packaged in the same rugged
configurations for direct buried, directional drilling, plow, or
underground installation.
The FuturePath family of products also includes Future-
Path - 2 to 25 MicroDucts, factory bundled into one package
with a polyethylene jacket; FuturePath Flex - configured with
2, 4 or 6 MicroDucts, its flat shape is suitable for installa-
tion into narrow slits or saw cuts, but the flexible design also
allows for placement in a rolled shape; FuturePath Aerial - 4
or 7 MicroDucts bundled with an UV and thermal protected
oversheath for aerial applications; FuturePath Armored - 4 or
7 MicroDucts with Steel Armor protection for harsh/rodent
environments; and FuturePath Self Support - 4 or 7 MicroD-
ucts factory bundled with a 1/4-inch Steel EHS Strand for
aerial applications.
Prinoth
T
he Go-Tract from Prinoth is especially well suited
to off-road use. This tracked utility vehicle will
soon be available in six payload categories, with
superstructures capable for more than 20 metric
tons. Its special appeal is that the ground pressure remains
low, which makes it possible to drive very lightly and gently
across the sort of extremely marshy terrain in which even a
person would sink.
Depending upon the size and model, Go-Tracts are used for
exploration, supply delivery, and the construction of infra-
structure, such as in drilling projects or mining. In pipeline
construction, for example, cranes for lifting pipe pieces, weld-
ing equipment, or drills are mounted on the payload areas of
