When is the earliest possible DNA paternity test?

From the 8th week of pregnancy, you can take a test based on the blood of a future mother and a cheek swab from the alleged father. This is the earliest test for pregnancy paternity. In this case, a patented method is used, which consists in isolating from the blood of a woman not only her DNA, but also the fetal DNA.
This is possible because there is free fetal DNA of the baby circulating in the bloodstream of the pregnant woman - in the 8th week of pregnancy there is enough of it that a paternity test can be done. Later, this genetic material is compared to the DNA of a man and checked if there is a biological relationship between them.
You can also do a paternity DNA test after 15 weeks of pregnancy based on amniotic fluid. Then any samples, e.g. used razor, hair with bulbs, chewing gum or many other materials are handed over from parents.

Is the paternity test result always reliable?

When you can do the paternity DNA test at the earliest, when you can do the paternity test No matter when you decide to do the paternity test - before or after the birth of the child - the result will be the same. It will clearly confirm or exclude paternity, and you will gain peace of mind for your whole life. How is this possible?
The DNA fragments analyzed in the paternity test are immutable and also determined at conception. In addition, each sample is equally reliable and each will give an identical result.
Thanks to the analysis of 24 DNA markers, the test guarantees absolute certainty even when only the child and the alleged father participate in the post-birth test. CentrumDNA is also an experienced and certified laboratory in which we operate in accordance with ISO 17025.
